Living with Mental Illness

Living with a mental illness, such as bipolar or schizoaffective disorders, poses challenges which go beyond those which can be controlled pharmacologically.  Mental illnesses affect interpersonal relationships, self-concept and employment, among other life experiences.  Being diagnosed with a mental illness does not mean that you suddenly possess a rigid set of personal or social characteristics. In counseling I can provide a safe environment to process your individual challenges and explore possibilities for your life that you may never have considered.
